Terms of use
Last updated 30 September 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses the Ikeja Corps Service Portal (ICSP). By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
What ICSP is
ICSP is a portal for the NYSC Ikeja Local Government office. It records CDS attendance, carries leave requests and announcements, and gives the office reports. It is built and run by Tofarati Farinu, a corps member serving in Ikeja.
ICSP is not NYSC's national portal. It does not handle clearance, allowances, postings or reposting, and it does not replace any NYSC record, rule or decision. Where the portal and NYSC's own records or instructions differ, NYSC's govern.
Who can use it
Accounts are for corps members serving in Ikeja LG and for LG office staff. A corps member's account stays pending until the LG office approves it. The office may decline a registration, and a declined registration is deleted.
Your account
- Give your real name, state code, batch, email and phone number.
- Keep your password to yourself. Do not share your account.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password, which signs out every device, and tell the LG office.
Attendance rules
- Check in only for yourself, on your own phone, while you are at the venue.
- Do not check anyone else in, lend your phone for someone else's check-in, or use another person's account.
- Do not fake your location, for example with a mock-location app.
- Check out when the LGI opens check-out. A member who has not checked out by the time it closes is marked absent.
The portal flags check-ins that look unusual, such as several accounts on one phone. A flag is a question for the LGI, not a finding against you. The LGI decides what happens next and may correct your attendance by hand, with a recorded reason.
Letters and requests
The help board shows the LG office's letter templates and document lists. NYSC requires request letters and query responses to be handwritten, so copy the template by hand. A typed or printed copy of a template is not an application. Leave and other requests are decided by NYSC, and a status shown in the portal does not replace any approval NYSC requires.
Cooper, the assistant
Cooper answers from official NYSC documents, the help board and answers written by the LG office, using an AI model. It can be wrong, and its answers are guidance, not decisions by NYSC or the LG office. Check anything important at the LG office desk. Do not put personal details in a question. Each account can ask a limited number of questions a day, and Cooper may be unavailable when the AI service it relies on is busy.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to reach data or pages your account is not allowed to see;
- interfere with the portal, overload it, or probe it for weaknesses;
- upload files that are not yours to share or that carry malware;
- share check-in codes or display links outside the meeting.
Suspension
The LG office can suspend an account that breaks these terms. A suspended account cannot use the portal. Anything you do through the portal can also be dealt with under NYSC's own rules, and those are NYSC's to apply.
Availability
ICSP runs on free hosting and is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. If the portal is down when you need to check in or submit something, tell LG staff, who can record your attendance by hand.
To the extent Nigerian law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by the portal being unavailable or by an error in it.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date on this page and announce significant changes in the portal. Using the portal after a change means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
